Nancy Bo Flood

Author and Educator

Nancy Bo Flood’s books have been recognized with a variety of awards, Her books include Soldier Sister, Fly Home, Water Runs Through This Book, and more recently, I Will Dance, and Walking Grandma Home. Her first collaborative project with a Navajo elder and illustrator, First Laugh, Welcome Baby, was a Junior Literary Guild Selection, selected as a Bank Street Best Books, and recognized with the international award, White Raven. Her poetry is found in Cowboy Up, Ride the Navajo Rodeo and several anthologies. Nancy has served on ILA’s Notable Books for a Global Society committee. Nancy is an active participant in national and international Reading and Literature organizations. She’s offered a variety of workshops, panels, and talks at local and national conferences (USBBY, NCTE, ILA, SCBWI).
